Transnet tables new wage offer

Transnet has tabled a new three-year wage offer effective from 1 April.
Negotiations to end the strike continue.
Three government ministers have stepped in to try end the mass action.
Meanwhile, the parastatal has warned there are stiff penalties for attacking its infrastructure.
It said those found guilty could face imprisonment of up to 30 years or fines of up to R100 million.
The strike at Transnet has now entered its eighth day.
The strike is costing the economy billions daily.
