IEC targeting a million new voters
The Independent Electoral Commission says it’s targeting one million new voters this weekend.
The IEC briefed the media earlier this week about its readiness for Voter Registration Weekend, ahead of the 2024 elections.
Nearly 70,000 staff have been recruited and trained for the registration campaign.
Young, first-time voters are being urged to register and participate in next year’s polls.
