New vehicle sales up by 14%

People are struggling in these tough financial times but they are still buying new cars. New vehicle sales increased by double digits in June. The sector saw a year-on-year increase of 14%.

The Automotive Business Council says affordability seems to be driving new vehicle sales.

Export sales however dropped by over 12.5%. The council says this is due to the devastating KZN floods and it’s impact on vehicle production and exports.

Late South African soccer star, Senzo Meyiwa’s widow, Mandisa Mkhize and Zandie Khumalo, the sister of his girlfriend Kelly, shared the same space at the Hollywoodbets Durban July without incident, despite their previous encounters.

In May, Zandie testified in Senzo’s murder trial that Mandisa had assaulted her sister Kelly following his death in 2014. A year earlier, Mandisa alleged that both Kelly and Zandie had assaulted her. Learn more
