Eskom announces new stages of load shedding
Eskom has announced Stage 6 blackouts will be implemented from Wednesday afternoon but first the day begins with Stage 4.
Then at 2 PM Stage 6 will kick in, and continue until 5 am on Thursday morning.
This pattern will be repeated, until further notice.
Eskom says it lost generating units overnight.
This past Sunday, Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa said Eskom has been producing enough energy to accommodate planned maintenance, without having to increase power cuts.
