Nelson Mandela Bridge will be dark for New Year’s Eve

A number of ceremonies are taking place on New Year’s Eve to remember those who have lost their lives to COVID-19.
In Johannesburg, the Nelson Mandela Bridge will not be lighting up on Thursday.
The City of Joburg is instead held a moment of remembrance for the people lost to the virus.
The remembrance ceremony was attended by Johannesburg Mayor Geoff Makhubo, MMCs and an inter-faith prayer group
