Nehawu spokesperson has died

National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) spokesperson Khaya Xaba has died.

He was admitted to the hospital last Sunday and died in the early hours of this morning.

Xaba joined the union as a spokesperson in 2016.

Nehawu’s Secretary-General Zola Saphetha said Xaba was a committed comrade looking to a better world.

Saphetha confirmed that Xaba contracted COVID-19.

“He had succumbed to COVID-19.”
