Nehawu concerned about health workers contracting COVID-19

The National Education, Health and Allied Workers Union (Nehawu) said the increasing number of health workers infected with COVID-19 is concerning. Secretary Zola Saphetha said this proves that adequate personal protective equipment is absent. You have a national infection of 8,000 plus and out of it you have health workers, people who have to save lives, of that number 511 being infected,” said Saphetha.
“Our worry is that the number of those who save lives is increasing and that demonstrates to our claim that we have been making that there are no adequate PEC.
“We are not happy with the infection of the health workers because those are the people who want to save lives.
