The Jagersfontein community is in desperate need of potable water.
The sludge from the dam break has left all water sources either blocked or contaminated.
Gift of the Givers’ Imtiaz Sooliman says that they have stepped in to help where they can but there is much to be done.
“They have asked for bottled water or any form of drinking water and again today when they spoke to the pastor, said look, we are going to need new boreholes because this town has no more water so there is no source of water supply so we are going to need boreholes,” he said.
