Kusile unit 4 synchronized to the national grid for the first time

Eskom announces that Kusile’s unit 4 joins the national grid for the first time.
The power utility says this is going to ease capacity constraints and hopefully prevent the almost daily, isolated power outages and load reductions.
The unit will supply electricity intermittently during testing phases over the next six months.
Construction and commissioning activities on the remaining Kusile Units 5 and 6 continue to progress.
This past year, there have been many blunders at Kusile.
There’s been numerous trips and loss of units leading to rotational load-shedding.
