Julius Malema reiterates comment on Nasi Ispani being a ploy used for 2024 polls

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has reiterated that the Gauteng government’s Nasi Ispani project was created to empower African National Congress (ANC) supporters ahead of next year’s general elections.
Malema was speaking at a media briefing on Wednesday where he lambasted the mass recruitment programme that has since employed thousands of people.
During his speech at the EFF’s 10th-anniversary rally at the weekend, Malema announced that beneficiaries of the programme would be dismissed should the EFF win governing power.
He said the programme was a political ploy used to prepare for next year’s general elections.
“Nasi Ispani is an ANC fraudulent campaign that seeks to take ANC campaigners, poster distributors and volunteers to pay them to do ANC’s work.”
