WATCH: Nandipa Maguduma ignores Thabo Bester in court
Pre-trial proceedings against the Facebook rapist and escapee Thabo Bester were expected to resume on Wednesday, but the case has been postponed to 5 June 2024.
Bester and his co-accused appeared at the High Court in Bloemfontein.
Nine people, including Bester’s girlfriend Nandipha Maguduma and her father, face a raft of charges.
They range from fraud and corruption, aiding and abetting a convict to violation of a corpse and arson.
The charges relate to Bester’s elaborate escape from prison during which a burnt body was found in his cell.
The news shocked the country and the world, revealing a web of corruption in the criminal justice system.
Today, people noticed an unusual interaction between the famous couple when Nandipha walked past Thabo without greeting him and even went on to ignore him the entire. The only person she hugged for long and talked to was her father.
