At 09H01 Monday morning, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N3 Southbound before the R603 offramp.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle drove into the back of a truck.
Paramedics assessed the scene and found that an adult female and three children were injured in the collision.
Once treated all the patients were transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
