Mzansi Magic’s hit shows back with a bang

VIEWERS are in for a treat as two of Mzansi Magic’s most topical reality shows are returning to the channel for their second seasons.

Shows Abandoned and Pastor Wants a Wife are coming back on 12 April, and promising nail-biting drama.

Abandoned is about people seeking out parents who walked away from their children while Pastor Wants a Wife follows men of the cloth seeking love.

Hosted by Phumeza Mdabe, Abandoned attempts to reunite children with their long-lost or unknown parents.

Mdabe returns for another season, bringing her emotional intelligence, kindness and non-judgmental hosting style, which makes those at their most vulnerable feel safe in her trusted hands.

In a different kind of seeking, Pastor Wants a Wife will feature a new man of God looking for a woman to build a life with.

This season’s bachelor is 35-year-old Tshego Modisakeng, who is an IT technician and entrepreneur from Rustenburg.

The father of two is looking for an “outspoken woman” and is tired of “meaningless relationships”. Interestingly, he doesn’t need his future wife to be involved in church activities.

In a statement, director of local Entertainment channels at M-Net Shirley Adonisi told Daily Sun that they were excited about the new seasons of the hit shows.

“Our viewers react strongly to reality shows featuring real stories of real people, whether they are seeking familial belonging or looking for love,” she said.

“The themes explored in these shows are relatable to many. It’s important that our content is relatable and authentic, and what better way than to see a family re united or people finding love. We’re glad to keep our viewers engaged while treating our subjects with dignity and grace.”
