Over the past couple of months, many of our local celebrities have experienced the dark side of the world wide web. Many a time, we have seen our stars openly speak about their experiences with having their social media accounts hacked.Take a look at some of the stars who have been victims:

Jo-Anne Reyneke

Earlier this year, Jo-Anne Reyneke’s Instagram got hacked. Taking to Twitter, the Isidingo actress shared that her Instagram account has been hacked and that the perpetrator is using her account and name for sinister reasons.

“I’m pleading with everyone that follows me on Instagram not to respond to DM’s from me asking you to be a Influencer, my account has been hacked and is being used to hack other accounts. I don’t want anyone else going through this,” she warned her followers.

Loot Love

In December, Loot Love’s Instagram account was hacked and fortunately, she managed to recover it before any damage was done.

Reason

In April, Reason took to Twitter to share that his number was hacked and even went as far as asking for legal counsel.

Kwesta

Another star who has been hacked is Kwesta. The star’s number was hacked while he was still in the Maldives with his new wife. Taking to Twitter, he alerted his family and friends.
