Securing the bag is everything… but securing yourself as a bag is an even bigger deal… read that slowly, “securing yourself, as a bag…” this simply means becoming your own boss… It’s so easy for entertainers to ‘stay in their lane’ when they get cast for a new movie or upcoming TV show… but it’s celebrities that venture into their own personal interests that ultimately become the celebrities that people ‘stan.’
This year alone we’ve had quite a number of celebrities start their own businesses and even though sometimes it may seem like a scary thing there are definitely celebrities who make running their own businesses look like a breeze.
Minnie Dlamini, for instance, is known for being a television host. The 29-year-old first appeared on the show Live-Amp and was strictly introduced to us as a TV host…. but we’re glad to see that the beaut has decided to do something else besides introducing guests or telling us about sports.

Another celebrity who has shocked everyone by venturing into business is the ever so beautiful, Khanyi Mbau. Commonly known as an actress the 34-year-old now has her own brand of gin. The actress who is never shy to say what’s on her mind introduced us to her pink bottled gin in late 2018 and of course, fans love it!

Another TV host whose decision to start her own business is the award-winning television presenter, Bonang Matheba. The 31-year-old introduced us to her MCC named House Of BNG and boy is she having a good year! The champagne was the official drink for the 2019 presidential inauguration and the official celebration partner for the Forbes under 30 meet up. The champagne comes in two flavours – Brut Rose and Brut.
Popularly known as a club dj, Dj Zinhle has decided to venture into furniture… She introduced us to Jiyane Atelier a few days ago when she launched her website and much-anticipated designs. The mother of one also has a watch line called ‘Erabydjzinhle‘ which is now available at American Swiss.
Rounding up the list we have another actress and TV host – Enhle Mlotshwa. The mom of 2 has her own clothing line for pregnant women: the line is called SE Preggoz.

Jo-Anne Reyneke pays tribute to Isibaya actor Andile Gumbi. The passing of former Isibaya actor Andile Gumbi has sent shockwaves throughout the whole country. Friends and fans of the late star took to social media to express their shock and heartbreak. Jo-Anne Reyneke and Andile Gumbi were shooting Ifalakhe when she took these pictures.
Andile was admitted to Shaare Zedek Medical Centre in Israel after suffering a massive heart attack. He was successfully resuscitated but remained in a coma until he, unfortunately, succumbed to death on Friday morning, October 25th. Read more
