Traditional healers say they are concerned about the recent reports of murders and mutilation of bodies believed to be linked to muti killings in various parts of the country. These concerns surfaced following reports about the increase in such killings. The bodies of two boys were found mutilated and dumped in White City and Rockville on Thursday morning.
Founder of uNomkhubulwane Culture & Youth Development, Doctor Nomagugu Ngobese says such incidents are tainting the image of traditional healers and medicine.
“We need serious prayers by everyone because we need to ask for forgiveness. This is too much, we need strong spiritual practitioners and everyone needs to commit themselves when they are told to go to the mountains to pray and ask for forgiveness because nature is angry. You may remember the impact floods had, it killed a lot of people some are not yet found, it is because we do not respect nature. Killing a human being, created by God is unacceptable. When people die, it must be because they were sick, if a person dies by hanging, stabbing or from getting shot or even drowning – that is violence.
