Advocate Teffo vows to continue defence in Senzo Meyiwa murder trial
Advocate Malesela Teffo says his legal troubles won’t prevent him from defending the Senzo Meyiwa murder accused.
Teffo was arrested on Thursday minutes after telling the court that he was receiving threats.
Police came into the court and handcuffed Teffo before leading him away.
When questioned by eNCA about why he was being arrested, Teffo said Police Minister Bheki Cele wanted him off the case.
Teffo is representing four of the five accused in the Meyiwa murder trial.
He was granted R10,000 bail in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
