32 new political murder cases recorded in KZN since June 2021
More than 30 new cases of political violence have been recorded in KwaZulu-Natal since June last year.
Police Minister Bheki Cele gave an update on the situation on Wednesday.
There has been an increase in politically-related murders in the lead up to – and since – last year’s elections.
In 2018, President Cyril Ramaphosa formed an Inter-Ministerial Committee to look into such cases.
