Faded Kwaito star Msawawa who lost everything because of S.e.x, beer & women has turned to God

Kwaito star Msawawa, real name Sboniso Dlamini, who hails from Clermont outside Durban, shot to fame with his classic hit track Wawungakanani when he was 12 years old.
Several sources close to the musician have told Sunday World that the Bibo muso, who is now 30, is no longer drinking alcohol, a party animal or a womanizer.
“He is no longer the same Msawawa who was known to be a party animal. Msawawa has changed and it is a sign that he has since realised that the life he was leading almost cost him his music career,” said one of the sources.
“Msawawa lost many things in life due to the lifestyle and the kind of people he chose to keep for company.”
Another source told Sunday World that Msawawa blamed booze and party-animal lifestyle for losing his fiancee Angel Gwala.
“The lifestyle he was living cost him dearly as he was supposed to have married Angel six years ago. She dumped him because she couldn’t take what Msawawa was doing anymore.
“He was always not at home, partying from Richards Bay to Durban every day. It is a good thing that he has changed his ways. It’s a pity Angel is no longer part of his life,” said the source.
The third source added: “I am happy that he has realized that he is old now.
“He is no longer that small boy whom they carried in a bag. I hope God will help him become a good man. There are few people at his age that can choose to be a Mzalwane [born-again] in this current generation.”
Sunday World has learnt Msawawa recently released a single titled Thandaza, where he encourages people to pray for their problems. Efforts to get a comment from the muso proved fruitless as he ignored Whatsapp, text messages and phone calls.
Angel refused to be drawn into the faded kwaito star’s business.
