Mpumalanga premier Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane is calling on the police to find the killers of three men in Mkhondo.
One of the victims was a local councillor. All three were shot multiple times.
A case of murder has been opened.
“No one, through his or her vote, should lose his or her life and we are saying that we’ll not rest until the perpetrators are apprehended,” the premier said.
“We want justice, that’s what we stand for, and therefore if such incidents continue to happen within our communities, what hope are we giving to our people?
“We’re appealing to our police to work around the clock in ensuring that they crack this case and get to the bottom of it.”
