Cyclist injured on mountain trail fall

Western Cape: At 08H55 Saturday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a cycling incident on an unnamed Road of an isolated area near Stellenbosch farms in the Cape Winelands.

Reports indicate that a 47-year-old male had fallen off his bicycle, sustaining moderate injuries.

Due to the rough, off-road terrain, a local farmer offered to drive the crew to the incident.

The patient was treated on scene by a Netcare 911 emergency care practitioner and once stabilized was transported by 4×4 back down the mountain to the awaiting ambulance.
