Mona Monyane remembers her Baby’s Death
Losing a child is not easy and therefore no amount of time that passes can make a parent forget the loss. This is why actress Mona Monyane remembered how she lost her second child, who died seven days after she was born. Taking to Instagram, the former Muvhango star recalled how a month after losing her child, she was called to work.
She said she was lost and burdened by the pain and the new path without her child. Mona wrote: “It was around a month after your passing that I was called to do this shoot… I was so lost, so burdened by the pain and my new path.
When they styled me as a priestess and placed Amaxhosa on my shoulder, the weight of it was like the weight of my new role as a mother who had lost… I sometimes pray away this wisdom, I pray away this gift, I pray away this purpose. Until I remember that without it… there is no light. I carry you with me Amani… I carry your heart with me”.
