Two suspects arrested in connections with alleged mob justice murders in Tembisa
Two suspects have been arrested in connection the murder of six people who were allegedly stoned to death by some community members in Tembisa.
Police say the suspects were arrested on Monday after preliminary investigations were concluded.
On Monday morning, five people were killed in Kanana Extension 4, with the sixth succumbing to his injuries on Tuesday.
Its alleged that the victims had been terrorising the community.
Police spokesperson, Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi: “Two suspects are expected to appear before Tembisa Magistrates Court on 25 January 2024 on a charge of murder and assault GBH. Police investigations continue and the public is still urged to come forth with any information that can assist with the investigation.”
