Sihle Zikalala to investigate spending on Ministers’ homes

Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Sihle Zikalala is promising to probe excessive spending on refurbishments at state properties occupied by public representatives.

This follows reports of spending to the tune of R93m in just three months.

It includes a kitchen refurbishment to the tune of over a million Rand and curtains to the value of R54,000.

That’s at properties in Pretoria and Cape Town.

Zikalala says government will not tolerate wasteful, unreasonable or potentially corrupt practices.
