Minister Phaahla blames non-placement of doctors on budget

There’s been a public uproar about the high number of medical graduates who don’t have jobs in the country.
This is while public facilities face dire staff shortages.
Health Minister Joe Phaahla says the main problem is budget constraints.
Phaahla says the 7.5% salary increase is putting pressure on hospital finances.
He says his department is inundated with people looking for vacancies.
Meanwhile, Phaala has announced two new cases of cholera in Limpopo, but he adds there’s no need to panic.
These cases are suspected to be from neighbouring Zimbabwe as the country has been battling the outbreak for months now.
