Minister Motsoaledi says G4S should be heavily penalised for Thabo Bester escape

Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi wants G4S penalized.

That would include the R1.4-million spent on returning Thabo Bester and Nandipha Magudumana.

Motsoaledi says this is not the only cost that the government has incurred due to the escape.

He was speaking to Prof JJ Tabane on Power To Truth.

“I think they should be penalized on many fronts. Not only this one so I can’t only talk about Home Affairs,” the minister said.

“I think they should be penalized on many fronts for the expenses that the government incurred because of their carelessness and they are being paid.”
