UZALO actor Menzi Biyela has sent a shoutout to Nyalleng Thibedi for working well with him.
The pair played a couple on the SABC1 soapie but Nyalleng, who plays Zekhethelo, left the show and her last episode aired on Friday, 10 September.
Pastor Gwala and Zekhethelo were set to get married in one of the biggest weddings yet to be seen in KwaMashu. But that dream was shattered when they found out they shared the same father, Nkunzi (Masoja Msiza).
Since then, things have been rocky in their relationship and Zekhethelo has left to start a new life elsewhere.
Taking to Instagram Menzi, who plays the character of Pastor Sambulo Gwala, said working with her was great.
“Where do I start? I would love to thank miss #NyallengThibedi for being so welcoming and allowing me to not compromise my performance. Thank you so much, you are a great actor to work with,” he wrote.
He said he was starstruck when he first started working with her, but she made him comfortable.
“You were such a gem to work with. I remember being starstruck but you made me feel comfortable and yes, we made it look real and we connected to each and every word and emotion. Thank you,” he continued.
Uzalo also bid farewell to the actress on their social media platforms last week.
“Nyalleng Thibedi ‘Zekhethelo Mhlongo’ bows out. We will miss you on the show @princess_nyalleng,” they wrote.
