An Up & Coming Game Changer in the Uniform, Corporate & Business Wear Manufacturing Sector is Seeking an experienced Pattern Maker to lead their department and grow with it in the long term.

Purpose of Job:

Responsible for manual & digital pattern construction, digitizing, sampling and assisting within the sampling room in general.

Requirements:

Matric

*National Diploma/Degree in Clothing Design/ Pattern Making

Min 3 years experience

Experience in High-End Ladies Corporate Wear pattern making & additional would be an advantage

*AA & EE Candidates Preferably

*Knowledge of pattern making and grading on Lectra equipment and digitizing

Willingness to design & work in collaboration with the designer(s)in the development of patterns for the first samples

Must be willing to go the extra mile to achieve the goal as part of the team.

Experience in apparel with a variety of patterns

Must be able to interpret and apply grade rules to a wide variety of styles –Must understand non-typical styles.

Knowledge of marker making and ability to work with spreaders and cutters in the production of samples

Knowledge of garment construction and the ability to work with sewing staff to develop methods to achieve best finishing qualities

Understanding of pattern filing management and organization

Excellent follow-through and timely attention to details in recording all information required for product specification.

Key Responsibilities:

Pattern Construction which involves:

– the development of a pattern idea or concept,

– creating a master pattern for all garment sizes,

– using charts, drafting instruments, computers and/or grading devices

Technical Drawing Competencies & Interpretations
– Sampling & compute dimensions of patterns according to sizes, considering stretching of material and supervising the making of sample garments
