Man & woman’s bloodied bodies found dumped in mealie field
The bloodied bodies of a man and woman were found dumped in a mealie field on Monday.
Cops suspect they were killed elsewhere and the bodies dumped there.
Cops appealed to SunReaders to help them trace the families.
Sergeant Raider Ubisi said the bodies were found in a mealie field in Zesfontein plot in Putfontein.
“On Monday at about 9 am, cops were alerted to two bodies lying in the mealie field in Zesfontein plot,” he said.
On arrival, cops found two bodies with multiple stab wounds on the neck and head, not far from each other.
“The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage,” Ubisi told the People’s Paper.
“Preliminary investigations have revealed the deceased might have been killed elsewhere and brought to the mealie field.”
Ubisi said their identities were unknown.
He urged anyone whose relative might be missing to report to their nearest police station, call 08600 10111 or Putfontein police on 011 845 6315.
