Our client is looking for a Qualified Registered Nurse Unit Manager/ Matron who will be responsible for coordinating improved nurse care at their Subacute facility.
About the company:
The organisation is based in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg. It is a homely facility; they provide a level of medical care that is between hospital care and home or a nursing facility. The facility consists of 6 private wards, 5 double wards and 1 four bed ward. The facility accepts the following patients’ Surgical patients, orthopaedic patients and neurology patients. The facility also accepts joint replacement admissions.
About the job:
The client is seeking to employ a Registered Nurse with 5 to 6 years Orthopaedic nursing experience and with extensive management experience. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of nursing care, absolute management unit.
Key Responsibilities include:
Monitoring and ensuring that nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced in the facility.
Manage all costs emanating from the unit
Ensure correct billing, stock management and purchasing
Facilitate timeous and accurate compilation of files
Ensure that all equipment is in working order and properly maintained
Control asset register
Promote health and wellbeing of patients and staff
Orientation of new staff and students
Coaching and mentoring of staff
Required Skills
Nursing Management experience : 4 to 5 years
Candidate Requirements
Minimum requirements to apply:
A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing)
Registration with the South African Nursing Council
A post basic qualification in the relevant nursing discipline would be an advantage
A relevant management qualification preferred
4 or more years’ experience in a private hospital setting in an orthopaedic ward
Management experience is essential
Sound knowledge on how to run a ward
Salary:
CTC monthly salary of between R34000.00 and R44000.00 per month is offered
