Purpose Ensure Final Assembly line is supplied with the correct material of the right quality and quantity on time and manage stock systematically and physically and ensure accuracy.
Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Inventory/Stock Management
Receive material from receiving area physically and systematically
Review Production plan, work orders to determine materials requirements
Monitor and ensure material is placed in the correct locations using managing location document
Ensure proper documents are also completed when there is a shortage or damages (daily)
Report all shortages to avoid production delays or impact
Ensure that the kitting is done correctly in advance using Work Requirement Order (WRO)
Check run in change and update the WRO for new parts identified but not on the bills of materials (BOM)
Inform procurement of shortages in advance (at least 2 weeks)
Cycle count (daily x 5 samples)
Manage logical warehouse and update on a weekly basis
Controlling of EOL material and physical destruction, ensure all processes are followed and proper documentation is kept.
Daily Production/Line Supply Management
Check daily production plan and prepare accordingly in advance (2 – 3 week visibility)
Report all shortages to avoid production delays or impact
Prepare material (kitting) for FA using Work Order Material Requirement (WOR) issue slips
Ensure the BOM and WRO QPA quantities match
Issue material to FA production and ensure that the kitting supplied is correct and on time to minimize line stoppage
Policies and procedures
Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements
Meet/exceed average production standards.
System Monitoring
PPH & GERP system management
Inventory control systematically and physically
Investigate stock variances and update the system
Monitor inventory control systematically
MRP system maintenance
House Keeping
Ensure proper housekeeping in the area
Ensure the workplace is a safe environment to ensure compliance
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager
Report
Record & report shortages and damages
Report daily quality issues to the line manager
Qualifications and Experience
Grade 12
Warehouse & Stock Management Certificate/Diploma an added advantage
2 – 5 years related experience
Good knowledge of production, sales and general warehouse procedures
Proven track record in the production environment
MS Office and Excel at an advanced level
Ability to use database for recording and reporting
Powerpoint (including good presentation skills)
