The controversial star Mthandeni Manqele has apologized to the fiance of his baby mama, Msoco Khumalo.
This follows an incident where Msoco discovered mapona photos of his fiancee, Vezile Buthelezi, which she allegedly sent to Mthandeni.
Mthandeni and Vezile have a daughter together but separated over three years ago, after which she moved on.
Msoco, a staunch fan of Mthandeni’s rival Khuzani Mpungose, paid lobola for Vezile after her breakup with Mthandeni.
The drama unfolded when Msoco stumbled upon the mapona photos allegedly sent to Mthandeni by Vezile.
Affectionately known as Igcokamelisha, Mthandeni has urged Msoco not to end his relationship with Vezile upon finding the photos. He emphasised that his relationship with Vezile’s purely co-parental.
“What happened is terrible. Khumalo must forgive Vezile. I want to see them happy together. Mistakes happen; he must understand that. Vezile and I are no longer together. We only communicate because we have a child together, and my role is to entertain people with music. I don’t want to be known as a home wrecker,” said the Amagqeja hitmaker.
It remains unclear whether Mthandeni asked for the photos or if Vezile sent them voluntarily.
Msoco confirmed finding the mapona photos but chose to limit his comments.
“I’m angry, but I’ve reported the matter to the elders. So, I won’t discuss it much in the media. It’s now in the hands of the elders, who will handle it their way,” Msoco said.
Vezile declined to comment, saying: “I have nothing to say,” before hanging up the phone.
