Truth be told, men are hardly satisfied. Men easily get bored from routine and monotony and by nature, are adventurous beings. This could partially explain why they are always on the hunt for a new female to flirt or just have a jolly time with.
In pre-colonial and some decades of the colonial era, men made up for their desire for more women by engaging in polygamy. Some could have as many as ten wives, depending on their financial stamina.
The embracing of European doctrines and ways of life that frowned upon polygamy, saw Africans adopting monogamy. This however did not solve the issue of men desiring and wanting more women despite being married.
This has culminated in men engaging in extra-marital affairs, now affectionately known as side chicks, small houses or side dishes.
