Marketing Assistant will be responsible to maintain existing business and vigorously develop new customers – imports and exports sending quotations to customers
Duties
Respond to emails timeously
Follow up on holding messages to principals
Weekly sales report on customers visited for the week
Attending marketing meetings with customers/management
Import customer stats
Monthly marketing report to be submitted
Rate negotiations for imports and exports for the various trade areas that the organization service and follow up on quotes
Survey reports as needed for new trades
Entertain customers
Follow up on sales leads
Follow up on telesales reports and outstanding monies
Assist with conference preparations
Experience and Education
Matric + 5 years extensive experience ships ageny experience in all trades (this is an essential requirement)
Sales and Marketing training courses (tertiary qualification advantageous)
Fully computer literate – Ms Office including Excel & Powerpoint
Customer service training
Knowledge of customers and marketing share
Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work under pressure
