Man shot dead in Durban Shopping Centre

At 10H03 Thursday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting at a well known shopping complex on Umhlanga Ridge.

On arrival multiple other emergency services were in attendance.

Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male sustained multiple gun shot wounds to his head and chest.

The man believed to be in his thirties was assessed on scene and found to have sustained fatal injuries.

The man was declared deceased by another private ambulance service.

According to an associate of the deceased, the man was about to get into his car when he was ambushed and shot by an unknown number of gunmen.

Circumstances leading up to the fatal shooting will be investigated by the Durban North SAPS who were on scene.
