Mampintsha lays Charges against Babes Wodumo

After being held in custody, it has now been confirmed that Mampintsha has officially laid a counter-charge of assault against Babes Wodumo. The news was confirmed by ENCA just moments after Mampintsha was held in custody.
Mampintsha had handed himself over to the Westville Police Station before he made his way to the Pinetown Magistrate to apply for bail.
Mampintsha was accompanied by his close friends and his lawyer who has come out to say that Mampintsha is a victim of abuse and that what was seen on that video of him hitting Babes Wodumo is not the full story.
The lawyer claims that, there was a lot more that was going on and that is what has led to Mampintsha’s counter-charge against Babes Wodumo.

A video of Mampintsha’s first appearance has since surfaced on social media sitting in the high court dock.
There has been a number of mixed reactions about the counter-assault charge
Babes Wodumo’s father has since confirmed that he knew of Mampintsha’s abusive nature towards his daughter and that he not only asked Mampintsha to stop hitting his daughter but he also approached Mampintsha’s father as well to intervene.
Mampintsha has since been released on R2000 bail, this bail amount has angered many South Africans who thought Mampintsha was going to be punished harshly for his actions.
