Makhanda residents protest ahead of Ramaphosa visit

Makhanda residents protested ahead of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s arrival complaining about their living conditions.
The president visited the Eastern Cape town for the official celebration of Freedom Day.
The protests did not put a damper on the celebrations, as Ramaphosa arrived at the Miki Yili sports grounds, he was welcomed by a brass band.
There was a flypast by the airforce as festivities got underway.
