Makhadzi is indeed the artist of the moment, and living her dream, through her hard work and persistence to improve her music, she recently bumped into a whole new world of fame and glory. Born and bred in the humble and dusty Venda villages, The Limpopo Queen is well received wherever she goes and cheered whenever she graces her hunting ground –the stage.

Recently she encountered a different kind of experience over the weekend when she visited Northern Cape to perform. Fifteen off-duty police officers dumped their weekend plans to voluntarily provide security to Makhadzi, the national treasure.Makhadzi-with-Northern-Cape-Police - Copy

Still, after hearing that Makhadzi was coming, fifteen off duty officers volunteered to guard for free. The SAPS police details ensured Makhadzi’s car and hotel room were heavily guarded; some even went further to provide free escort services.

The Queen of Limpopo is slowly turning into a global sensation to join the excellent company of Sho Madjozi and boyfriend Master KG, who both come from the Northern Province and made waves in the global arena. Over the coming weekend, Makhadzi is performing in Nigeria at the AFRIMA Awards, the biggest awards ceremony on the continent. She is set to share a stage with renowned artists and Africa’s finest, a dream which came true after trying her luck for seven years.
