Lebogang Maile lauds City of Tshawane for positive audit outcome

Gauteng Finance and Economic Development MEC Lebogang Maile has applauded the City of Tshwane for improving its municipal performance. This comes after three consecutive years of poor performance. Maile was responding to the Audit outcomes of the Gauteng municipalities released by the Auditor-General last week.

The City of Tshwane, which maintained unqualified audits with findings for the first three years under review, received an adverse opinion in the 2021/2022 financial year. The metro received a qualified opinion in the 2022/2023 financial year, marking a significant improvement,” he said.
