Mabena of the week: Man allegedly arrested after flaunting “cash from Kagiso CIT heist” online

A video has gone viral on social media showing a man flexing his cash. The clip shows a bed covered entirely with money. Social media user, @sahomz, posted the video on Twitter and claimed it was one of the Kagiso CIT robbers who flexed online. He added that an arrest had been made after the video surfaced online, however, his claims had not been confirmed.

The tweep captioned the video: “One of the Kagiso robbers caught barely 24 hours after committing the crime. Apparently he bragged on social media and attracted attention of cops after posting videos of the cash online.” Take a look at the video below:

The clip quickly gathered over 146 000 views and Mzansi dubbed him the Mabena of the week. Twitter user, @NkweMashamaite, commented: “Some robbers are foolishly amazing. They get away with the loot and get drunk with excitement and they play on social media just to get caught. Hilarious game.”

However, there were those who did not believe the video had any relation to the Kagiso heist.

Twitter user, @fulungwana, commented: “Knowing social media the video might not be linked to Kagiso heist.”

Another tweep, Mz’wanele Nkunzi, added: “Its not bra, not at all. Lmao they’re just lying. Those guys were very smart. These one’s they take random vids and associate it with anything for retweets.”
