L’vovo gunned down on eHostela. He lived by the gun and so he died by the gun. On Sunday, Mzansi watched as L’vovo was gunned down in cold blood. But it wasn’t real.
It was his character, Nhlamvu, on Mzansi Magic’s eHostela, who was killed. Nhlamvu was one of a group of hitmen hired to kill people who disturbed the peace in their community and hostel.
He was a lying, devious and two-faced opportunist who sided with whoever had money and power.
Speaking to Daily Sun, L’vovo said he was nothing like Nhlamvu, but was happy to have been part of a storyline which tried to educate Mzansi about real life in hostels.
“People will learn about life in hostels. We had some people from the hostel assisting us while shooting the series.”
L’vovo said there was a lot of young people could learn from the consequences of Jama’s bad behaviour.
Jama, played by Wiseman Ncube, was a selfish, heartless hitman who killed for the fun of it. His bad behaviour caught up with him when he was killed and set alight in his car.
In January, Daily Sun reported that L’vovo was against guns, war and violence. This was after a photo of him holding a gun did the rounds on social media. He said he was just acting.
