Our client is searching for a professional, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Logistics & Operational Manager.
What will you be doing as a Logistics Manager on an operational level:
Responsible for the full Logistics function; the Yard, Premises, Security, Truck Maintenance, Truck scheduling, Truck Inspections, Consumptions & Maintenance schedule.
Providing leadership to the team and strive to keep transportation costs low. The successful candidate will also be responsible for prioritising tasks to meet expected delivery dates and maintaining an accurate inventory. Ensuring stock are scheduled and delivered to sites in a timely manner as per clients’ criteria
Managing an accurate inventory of stock, maintenance, expenses and deliveries to sites
Recruiting, coaching, training and co-ordinating logistics staff (drivers etc)
Assessing and identifying trends re operations and strategise accordingly; this will entail reviews, prepare and complete action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality and customer services standards and completing audits. Recommending methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs
Maintaining customer service logs and safety records
Reviewing and approve all repairs and maintenance invoices prior to payment
Implementing of Company Policies and Procedures
Required Skills
logistics : 10 years or more
Candidate Requirements
10 Yrs+’ Logistics Experience
Demonstrated understanding of industry
Able to manage time effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office and in a standard Logistic Software
Health & Safety Compliant
