ANC councillor in trouble for alleged lockdown violation

The ANC in Mpumalanga has suspended one of its councillors from the party. He will now face an internal disciplinary process and criminal charges. Musawenkosi Masina was arrested for selling fraudulent permits to informal business owners. After being released on a warning, he was bust again, doing the same thing. ANC’s Lindiwe Ntshalintshali says the party is dismayed disappointed by Masina’s conduct.

She says Masina has been suspended from all party activities until a disciplinary hearing in his conduct has been concluded. We have a resolution, we have our policies and we have the constitution on how members and deployees of the ANC should behave when they are in government,” she said.
