KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala briefs media on lockdown in the province

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala will on Sunday afternoon give an update on the coronavirus pandemic in the province. The provincial government says the KZN Command Team met on Friday after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced a low risk-adjusted approach to relax the lockdown.

On 1 May the country will move from the current level 5 to level 4. Zikalala will update the media on what the relaxation of the lockdown means for the province as well as other issues on the COVID-19 epidemic.

KwaZulu Natal has recorded the third-highest number of infections in the country. The province has 847 confirmed coronavirus cases with 29 deaths and 241 recoveries.
