Eskom has warned that the possibility of load-shedding remains on Friday.
South Africans are being advised to keep checking schedules on the parastatal’s website, as the risk of Stage 1 load-shedding remains.
Eskom says rotational blackouts will be implemented only if necessary.
There was a high risk of load-shedding on Thursday because of problems at various power stations.
However, the lights stayed on, thanks to the demand being lower than expected.
