Liverpool beats Wolves 2-0

Liverpool’s 29-year wait to win the Premier League title continues, despite their 2-0 win over Wolves at Anfield.
Manchester City retained their title with a 4-1 win at Brighton to finish on 98 points – one ahead of the Reds, who have the highest final points total of any runners-up in English top-flight history.
Many Liverpool players looked exhausted at the final whistle, but Jurgen Klopp’s team were given a rousing ovation despite the disappointing outcome to their bid for a 19th title.
Sadio Mane scored from close range in each half to finish the season with 22 goals, as he and team-mate Mohamed Salah finished level in the race for the Golden Boot as the Premier League’s top scorers.
The victory over Wolves was Liverpool’s ninth consecutive win in the league, while their only defeat of the Premier League campaign came when they lost 2-1 to City on 3 January.
