Huge blow for Makhadzi as her dancers Limpopo Boy and Skoropo ditch her

Chart-topping star Makhadzi‘s famous dancers, Limpopo Boy and Skoropo, are ready to take center-stage with the imminent release of their new single.

The dancing duo will swap the dancing stage for lead roles as singers with their new release titles Woza Summer featuring Mr. Brown, Queen Lolly, and Airburn Soundz.

The single is due to drop later this month.

“Working with her [Makhadzi] has been an amazing experience because I am learning a lot from her and I can say I got the courage to even start in music from her,” Skoropo said.

Limpopo Boy, real name Matome Thoka, has been dancing for Makhadzi – real name Ndivhuzannyi Ralivhona – for more than six years. He said he would still dance for her regardless of his solo career.

His dance videos have attracted more than a million views on YouTube. “Me and Makhadzi connect especially on stage, its like we were meant to work together … our stage energy and experiences are the same. So yeah its amazing,” Limpopo Boy said.

“I can’t wait for the country to see what we have to offer as a duo and how they will receive us.”

The dancer, born in a small village called Botlokwa in Limpopo, is an envy of many as he shared a stage with Beyonce and Jay-Z during the Global Citizen Festival two years ago.

He has also danced for local greats including Sho Madjozi, DJ Cleo, Dr. Malinga, King Monada, Lady Zama, and Master KG.
“When I was young I wanted to do both dancing and singing. But I was not ready to venture into music that time,” Limpopo Boy added.

Skoropo, real name Blessing Khumalo, was born in Tembisa on the East Rand. He started dancing ‘since I could spell my name correctly’ and has worked with Makhadzi for two years.

“Choreography is in me. I love dance, I love music. I also go around the country teaching dance to young people. I am my happiest when I do that. I started as a musician before dancing professionally but things back then didn’t work for me. After seeing my dance career rising I then decide to go back to music,” he said.
