Lilly and Joshua’s love story reminds us that it doesn’t matter where you meet your lifetime partner.
The couple met way back in 2001. Lilly was still studying and would often sell avocados at the local market. Joshua would stop by to buy avocados. In fact, he was quite the loyal customer!
He had his eye on her but Lilly was oblivious of this. Joshua finally got courage to speak to her one day and after talking to her, he went home and told his father that he had found the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
His father was pleased and Joshua says that is how he knew that he had found THE ONE. He spoke to Lilly again and told her about his intension to marry her and she was delighted.
It so happened that Joshua had to leave the village to find a job in the city. This was between 2001 and 2003. He returned home and paid lobola for Lilly and then asked her to move in with him in the city.
This was a huge step for Lilly and it was a little difficult at first but they stayed strong and made it work. Tonight, they’re getting married and want to share their special day with us.
