Triple murder convict gets life in prison

Convicted rapist and killer Njabulo Ndlovu was cruel in the manner in which he carried out his crime against three generations of women in the Ndlela family.

That’s according to Judge Poyo Dlwati, who handed down the sentencing in the High Court in Pietermaritzburg.

Ndlovu confessed to the brutal sexual assault and killing of 65-year-old grandmother Zanele Ndlela, her daughter Smangele and her little child Zenande at their home last month.

Ndlovu has been given five life sentences for the murder and rape of the family members.

In handing down the sentence, Dlwati added that she didn’t agree with Ndlovu’s argument for a lesser sentence, citing he showed no genuine remorse for the killings.
