David Makhura testifies at Life Esidimeni inquest

Former Gauteng Premier David Makhura has denied the provincial executive and budget committee played any role in the Life Esidimeni decision.

Makhura’s been testifying at the Life Esidimeni Inquest on Wednesday.

Over 140 mentally-ill patients died in 2016 after they were moved from Life Esidimeni to NGOs that were ill-equipped to take care of them.
